about "no fear"
in 2021, i released a little EP called "mania".
like any release, i wrote songs that made the cut and others that, although i liked, just didn't make the cut in that moment enough to complete.
"no fear" taught me why artists come out with b-sides more than i ever experienced. i completely forgot about the track until almost 2 years later and fell back in love with it.
during the writing sessions for "mania" starting in summer 2021, i was listening to lorde's "melodrama" for the very first time, which directly inspired this track. that's one of my favorite anecdotes to tell people because as a musician, sometimes influences are that surface level.
also, i just wanna say i love this song. as i get older i've understood more and more just how valuable it is for me to share art with the world.
